WX-4 is used to determine the melting point of a substance. It is mainly used for the determination of crystalline organic compounds such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, fuels and perfumes. The instrument is microscopically observed and can be measured either by capillary method or by slide-cover slide method (hot table method).
